One of the many cool things about living in Chicago is its incredible wealth of arts, culture and music, much of it free if you know where to look. When I moved to the city in 2010, I started making to-do lists just to keep track of all the shows I didn't want to miss. That eventually led to this website, which was launched as a simple blog on 1/1/11. That morphed later into a quarterly exhibit newsletter. Later additions included a photo gallery and media guide and a local artist directory. Today we are launching a new blog called Behind the Lens, focusing on conversations with and about contemporary photographers. Enjoy the view!
