"Taking pictures as his way of giving structure to the world"
Before his death in 1984, three books of his work were published: The Animals (1969), Public Relations (1977) and Stock Photographs (1980). There is also an extensive archive of his work at the Center for Creative Photography in Tucson. The current Winograd exhibit is at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. through June 8.
